Cleaning products like Pledge,Windex  are not equipped to handle natural stone surfaces, and can actually harm your precious surfaces by producing etch marks or stains. Therefore it is imperative to only use products that are specifically designed for cleaning stone. We carry one of these products, Lustro Italiano, for our clients. Lustro Italiano’s composition is safe for use on any type of stone and it also comes as part of a cleaning and polishing kit.  In the case where our clients do not have cleaning products, we recommend using two drops of neutral soap mixed into a bucket of water. Then, a soft sponge mop can be used to clean the surfaces.  Just make sure that you dry all surfaces thoroughly with a dry towel to avoid strike marks.
